The constipation from an analgesic medication results probably because of non functional CFTR (Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regular) which leads to colonic dysfunction by absorbing all the water content from the stool along with increased absorption of fluids from the colon resulting in dry stool called as constipation.
