The staff on duty make sure the hand over done to the right staff while duty shift, how toresome the day was , the handover protocol to be met ethically.

The shift hand over include patients present complaints, medication history, lab reports and pending works to be done. Be clear that the handover not done to a nonmedical staff or student nurses.

The handover to be done where no much crowd or noise not present, to prevent miscommunication while we hand over the patient.

Clearly mention the handover notes with date and time in patient file or computer, and what was done during our shift and what is yet to be carried out.It assure the next staff about her duty to be followed and prevents miscommunication and reduce error in patient care.
