1. Active duty service men are the military officials in US army working to safe-guard the integrity and honor of their nation. It is seen that the suicide rates among active duty service members is higher in US than other civil counterparts. One of the major reason of this high rate is stress, the actual and core cause of suicide rate among this population is not known but some reasons are collaborated to stress of duty and pressure. The evaluation studies show that troop members are reluctant in coming forward during mental crisis and seek help and this leads them to undergo sheer difficulties and they chose to commit suicide. Also, it was mentioned that the army troops are mainly evaluated on basis of physical fitness but no one mentions mental health that is an integral part of this system.

2. It is seen that the major risk for suicide among the active duty service members is for the young individuals and the rates are increasing yearly. The measures that can be taken to identify the suicide among the active duty members and their risk towards them is to screen these officials for mental health issues and routine care. the officials should be provided routine screening and in case of any diagnosis or vulnerability their treatment should be initiated on priority basis.
