4. Since there is genetic risk, the person may develop hypertension in future . So preventive measures should be taken like:

  • Healthy lifestyle
  • Exercise
  • Do not lead a sedentary lifestyle
  • Reduce body weight and do not get obese
  • Do not smoke or drink alcohol
  • Reduce the salt intake
  • Regular check up of blood pressure
  • If blood pressure is slightly high he should start taking anti hypertensive drugs.

If these measures are not taken complications like the following may happen:

  • Stroke
  • Cerebrovascular accident
  • Cardiovascular problem
  • Kidney failure
