1. inspect skin color (cyanosis)

4. Palpate the thorax, respiratory excursion, symmetry, tactile fremitus, crepitus
5. percuss the thorax
6. Auscultate breath/voice sounds, are they normal or adventitious
7. Respiratory rate, depth, and pattern.
