Dr Feelgood's cold remedy is now prescription drugs do the pharmaceutical firm may get it patent and increase the price since sale is not as widespread as over the counter drug. So price will definitely increase.

Pharmaceutical firm may be in profit by patenting the drug.

Qn part b) with introduction to the new drug old drug face competition so pharmaceutical firm should decrease it's price and increase sale .it should compete to get formularies then prices will be high pharmaceutical firm will get profit because of increase sales since these drugs will come under insurance.
