Pleasure gained list :

  • If Mr. Jimenez quits smoking, he will increase his life span and reduce medical complications of smoking.
  • If Mr. Jimenez quits smoking, his family will get satisfaction and appreciation for helping him to quit smoking.
  • If Mr. Jimenez quits smoking, his family will no longer be exposed to the health risks of second hand smoke.

Pain avoided list :

  • On continuing smoking, Mr. Jimenez is possibly avoiding the physical suffering and side effects such as mood deterioration, anxiety, weight gain, etc that he may have when he quits smoking.
  • If Mr. Jimenez quits smoking, he may misbehave with his family members. On continuing smoking, the pain of his misbehavior is being avoided by his family.
  • On continuing smoking, Mr. Jimenez is possibly avoiding his restlessness caused by quitting smoking.
