Answer #1

PATIENT WEIGHT IS 240 POUNDS

CONVERTING POUND INTO KILOGRAM

1 POUND = 0.454 KG

240 X 0.454 KG = 108.862

= 108 KG APPROXIMATELY

1. ANSWER

AS IT IS GIVEN IN THE QUESTION RECOMMENDED DAILY DOSE IN MCG/KG IS

25 TO 30 MCG /KG

2. ANSWER

RECOMMENDED DAILY DOSE RANGE IN MCG/KG IS

BODY WEIGHT X DOSE/KG

= 108 X 25 MCG /kg

= 2700 mcg total

for 30 mcg

= 108 x 30 mcg/kg

= 3240 mcg total

so, the range is 2700 mcg to 3240 mcg FOR THE PATIENT

3. ANSWER

QAM MEANS THE DRUG HAS TO BE GIVEN DAILY N THE MORNING.

the total dose a patient should receive daily is in the range 25 mcg to 30 mcg to 0.025 mg to 0.030 mg per kg body weight.

total weight of the patient is approx 108 kgs

to multiply 108 kgs X 0.025 mg/kg body weight

= 2.7 mg total can be given daily

to multiply 108 kgs X 0.030 mg/kg body weight

= 3.2 mg total can be given daily

so the range of drug is    2.7 mg to 3.2 mg,

i will not question the order because after multiplying with body weight the dose fall into the range that can be administered to the client.
