Case 1 C.M. is a 28-year-old woman with a long history of dysmenorrhea managed for many years with oral contraceptives. She stopped taking the pill 8 months ago in anticipation of becoming pregnant with her first child. Having stopped the contraceptives, C.M. has been experiencing diffuse abdominal and back pain beginning about a week before menses. Her periods have become very heavy. An initial diagnosis of endometriosis is made. Discussion Questions 1. What is endometriosis and how is it different from primary dysmenorrhea? 2. What implications does a diagnosis of endometriosis have in terms of C.M.'s plans to become pregnant? 3. What information should C.M. be given regarding the treatment options for endometriosis?

Endometriosis is a painfull disorder.In this the normal tissue which lines the uterus grows outside of one's uterus.

But where as primary dysmenorrhoea is normal menstrual cramps and they are not caused by any other diseases.It is caused by prostaglandin which is natural Chemical made in the lining of uterus.

Endometriosis is a disorder where as primary dysmenorrhoea is normal menstrual cramps.

2) Endometriosis is a condition in which it surrounds ones ovaries and it blocks the release of eggs from ovaries and it also stops sperm from going into fallopian tubes.

So when diagnosed with Endometriosis then the patient have complications in becoming pregnant.

3) Treatment.

Hysterectomy ,harmones therapy such as Gn-RH ,danazol,IUD,harmones birth control.
