Cardiac examination includes inspection, palpation and auscultation to find out various abnormalities of heart.

The thrill is the palpable murmur

The heaves are the abnormal large beating of the heart which feel like a vibration which can feel all over the pericardium and best felt at he sternal border.

Murmur is a  whooshing sound heard due to the turbulent flow of blood through which usually heard nearby the valves.

Apical pulse is also known as point of maximum impulse or apex beat which is normally located in the 5th intercostal space in the mid-clavicular line.
