1.a.Antibiotics

i. Amoxicillin

ii. Lower respiratory tract infections, Ear, Nose, Throat, Genito Urinary and skin infections, Acute gonorrhea

iii. Stopping of bacterial cell wall synthesis thereby kills the bacteria.

iv. Hypersensitivity reaction, Colitis

v. Amoxicillin should be used vigilantly in patients with history of allergies.

Amoxicillin can reach the placenta and also be found in breast milk. So be cautious while administering to the nursing mothers.

2. a. Antihypertensives

i. Amlodipine

ii. Hypertension, Angina

iii. Dilates coronary arteries, peripheral arteries, and arterioles thus reducing chest pain. It decreases blood pressure by dilating blood vessels.

iv. Hypotension

v. Use vigilantly in patients with congestive heart failure, aortic stenosis, and renal dysfunction.

Do not drive if on amlodipine,  as it can cause dizziness.
