Gap analysis is a process for comparing our actual performance
with expected performance. Gap analysis helps with an action plan
when we compare the two states. There are 4 steps to complete the
gap analysis. It helps to ensure how to face the issues and make
the best action.
1, Goal construction:
In this area, we will identify the current level of our goal,
target to have a deal with plans. This is called a performance
gap.
2, Benchmark the current state:
In this area, we can identify the improvement area like how to
improve with the specific areas where we need to meet the
goal.
3, Analyze gap data:
This area determines and analyzes the major gaps against the key
goal and helps for the best practice.
4, Action plan:
This area understanding the current status with the action plan,
here we will make a realistic plan and make progress on the desired
goal to fulfill the gap.
