Practitioners including physicians and nurse practitioners look forward to the expanded role in delivering patient care. They want to increase the opportunities for training and support for delivering quality care for their clients. They want more inclusion to the community for delivering care.
What characteristics of reform rise to their top priority?
The top priorities for health reform care coverage, Health care cost and spending, and quality of care. Main motive is to provide health care Coverage for most of the Americans thereby reducing the impact on health care plan cost and to promote coverage plans which are less expensive and promotion of quality care for all Americans
Is their perspective in harmony with what patients and insurers want most?
In perspective of patients, they are in harmony with this policy of health care reform as it reduces the financial burden and enhances promotion of health care in a broader perspective. It will also give them a financial stability by avoiding the increased expenses related to health care costs. Whereas insurer’s perception of health reform is not in harmony with the health reform since they have agreed to revoke some of the practices such as premium rates based on status of health and gender, they are looking forward for increased premium rates for the young Americans. Their efforts are mainly to defeat creation of public health insurance in relation to health reform.
