1) It is not ethical for Steve to share his past suicide attempt with patients. Patient who are in lack of confidence can have a thought to attempt suicide. Some patient may have immediate response when they are not able to do as the Steve does to overcome his difficulties. Some mentally ill patient cannot recognise which is right and wrong.

As it is a ethical challange for Steve, it is better not to share his past suicide attempt with patients.

2) A flow of sad thoughts can rush through the mind of mentally ill patients. This can put them in a depressed state.

A patient with lack of confidence can attempt suicide as he think he cannot overcome his problems as the Steve has done.

Sometimes the condition of the patient can be worsened because of the negative and sad thoughts that arise in his or her mind. It will become tougher to control patient’s emotional state.

Mentally unstable people sometimes react in different way, a immediate response which may affect in bad way.

3) Talk to the patient about their mental well-being.

Listen to them about their feelings.

Help them to deal with pressure or stress situations.

Keep an eye on everyone. If someone is behaving differently talk to them and ask how they feel.

Be a supportive friend for them

Learn the signs and symptoms every patient shows and work accordingly.

Arrange a couselling session for them and give positive thoughts that makes them feel good.
