Answer #1

Answer: The major concern due to the gestational hypertension is to provide the antihypertensive therapy to the pregnant women. Because the extreme blood pressure may increases the risk to the fetal development and increases the chances of abnormalities. It the hypertension is not treated then it may cause placental abruption or may cause fatality.

The client should be instructed regarding the care she should take at home such as:

  • Increases the intake of fluid as well as water.
  • Adopt healthy lifestyle
  • Perform some mild exercise.
  • Take medicine on time.
  • Take plenty of rest.
  • Try to sleep on the left side to reduce the pressure on the uterus.
  • Monitor the health as well as blood pressure.
  • Reduce the intake of salt.
