The answer is True.

The immune response in allergy starts with sensitization. If any pollen allergens are inhaled, antigen presenting cells in epithelium of the airways of lungs and nose process these allergens to their cell surface. The allergen is then involved in immune response of T-lymphocytes. After a series of cell interactions, B lymphocytes are transferred into antibody secretory plasma cells. The plasma cells produce IgE antibodies. Once formed and released into circulation, IgE binds to high affinity FC receptors on mast cells or basophils. This immune response is termed sensitization.
