There are various types of nematodes worms that migrate in the horses. These worms migrate in the horses in the different parts of the body. They locate in places like stomach, intestines, small and big, cecum, colon and rectum. However, there 3 types of nematodes worms that migrate in the stomach of the horses.
The First one is known as Habranema spp. They are known as Large Mouth Stomach Worm of Horses and they are located in the stomach. This is infected when Muscidae flies bites the horse and deposits the larva there, the symptoms are seen on the skin. These symptoms are usually asymptomatic, which causes loose motions and adds weight loss to the horse.
The Second one is known as Daschia megastoma. These worms are known as Nodular tomaSch Worm. These worms are also located in the stomach. These worms have the same characteristics as mentioned above with Habranema spp. This is infected when Muscidae flies bites the horse and deposits the larva there, the symptoms are seen on the skin. They eat the eggs in feces and deposit the larva. The effect of these worms are the same as Habranema spp.
Third one is known as Trichostrongylus axei. These worms are known as Stomach Hair Worm. These worms are also located in the stomach. They come from various cattle, sheep and horses. This is infected by transmission of ingestion of larva.
