"FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT"

The "fruit of the spirit " is a biblical term that sums up nine attributes of a person living in accordance with Holy Spirit. This is according to chapter 5 of the Epistle to the Galatians. It means the presence of God within us. His presence in our soul gives us joy. We are at peace inside. It gives us love. we are concerned with for others unselfishly . It gives us patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness and self control. If we claim to live by the "Holy Spirit "we must also walk by the Spirit i.e. with personal integrity ,godly characters and moral conduct. As a health proffesional this will make us a good human being. We will have a good attitude towards the ill. We will understand their pain and will try to help them. Even a few understanding words can make a huge difference. If we are concerned with them we will do everything that will help to cure them.this will help the patients to recover fast. If we have self control we can handle adverse situations and react accordingly. Our love for the ill will cure them faster. This will help the person to be well mentally and physically. Over all this will reflect in the well being of the society.This will also iead to the upliftment of the country.

This tells us about the Unity and Diversity of the body..Just as body is on but has many parts so is :Christ:. We all are parts of body .Each part is doing his function in coordination with the other part . Similarly even if we are different our aim is to treat the sick. All of us should work in harmony with others. Everyone is important .Every deed done for the well being of the patient is important. Working together will develop a relationship with the patient. This will help him to get well soon. Each person is important . Each person's gift is necessary for the health of the patient. Paul had used the :body of Christ" metaphor to encourage believers to see themselves as part of one another, working to achieve a common goal.Similarly all our departments and individuals working for health related issues should work together as one team with a common goal. Paul lists the gifts given by God like gifts of healing, helping,administrating etc. These are not given to everybody .Each one has a special gift or quality given by God. we must recognize that and work together. For this we must develop intersectorial coordination. .Good communication should be there. Every sector is important. We should not critisize others but help them improving their work with respect and understanding..If everyone has respect for one another we can improve our OUALITY.
