Vector borne diseases :

The disease which is transmitted through vectors, or agent which carries infectious pathogens or microorganisms into other living organism, and these are innanimate medium of infection.

Ex : through the masquitoes the disease will be transmitted that is malaria, dengue fever ect.

National vector borne disease control program is one of the controlling program for the vector borne diseases.

Under these programs it can controls the Malaria, Filariasis, Kala azar, Japanese encephalitis, dengue, chickengunya, ect.

Almost all Japanese encephalitis and Kala azar under the control completely, and Filariasis also mostly not seeing.

Methods used :

1. Anti larval methods like environmental control that is by maintaining hygiene conditions, chemical control by using kerosene, biological controls like gambusia larvae eating fish.

2. Anti adult methods like residual sprays like DDT, spays sprays malathion foggings, genetic control.

3. Personal protective methods like mosquito nets, screening, repellents using.

These are the methods used to control of masqueto borne or vector borne diseases.

Inspite of using some control measures or methods some of vector borne diseases or not controlled still those are coming to the peoples like due to inappropriate usage of those methods.

The diseases are Malaria, chicken gunya, and dengue.

The challenges hamperings of control methods :

* The persons not followed adequate measures which are been educated.

* some times there is no adequate knowledge regarding these methods.

* inadequate control methods and resources supply.

* inappropriate implementation of interventions which are planned by control programme.
