Anaphylaxis is a severe allergic reaction to certain substances (e.g., bee stings, medications and certain foods) that can cause difficulty breathing, itching, unconsciousness and possible death. It is not very difficult to recognise an incident of anaphylaxis.

Swelling on lips, face or eyes and vomiting are strong signs of anaphylaxis.

I would first remove the sting if visible and will locate the Epipen first and call for help and also contact the family. Meanwhile I will lay the patient flat.

If the attack is strong and person stops breathing then I will do CPR if that's necessary.
