1. Sucralfate is sucrose sulfate aluminium complex that binds to ulcer, creates barrier between the wall and aicd and protects the git wall . it is used for duodenal and gastric ulcers

2. antacids are basic compounds which neutralize the acidity of the stomach providing symptomatic relief.

whereas h2 receptor antagonists prevent production of excess acid
