Nursing Competency to assess:-

Infant Cardio Pulmonary resuscitation:

Assessment and Activation

  1. Check responsiveness
  2. Shout for help
  3. Check breathing
  4. check pulse

Cycle One:- CPE (30:2)

Infant Compression

  • Perform high quality compression
  • Check placement of finger
  • complete recoil

Infant breath:-

  • Give 2 breaths with a barrier device
  • each breath given over a 1 second
  • check for visible chest rise
  • resume compression or not

Instructor has to check above point and give the competency mark against each point ..
