The pediatrician asks you to help the mom utilize the ADHD Medication Selection Guide to help determine which medications might work best for her child. Help Mom complete the guide and come up with 2-3 medication choices to review with the pediatrician. Insurance cost information is provided. Utilize additional information in helping with selections: schedule, habits, side effects, etc. In interview and assessment, you obtain the following information: Matt’s eating habits at present are fine, and he is of healthy weight and BMI. His sleep habits have always been inconsistent, and this has always been an issue. He is often up late at night and often up early in the morning. He gets up for school daily at 6:30am, heads to the bus stop at 7:20, begins school at 7:45am and goes to lunch at 11am. By 2:30 school is dismissed and he comes home on the bus at 3:00pm. He works on homework until 4:00pm, when he goes to baseball practice until 5:00pm. Dinner is typically at 6:30 and bedtime is 8:30pm. He falls asleep at various times once in bed.
