The system of health care providers in the U.S. support goals of public health as with the passage of the ACA (Affordable care act) as it has reduced the growth of the health insurance premiums paid by employers. Further Medicare and Medicaid programs in our system ensure that those who are poor or those who cannot afford to get insurance.

Further the federal law called the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act (EMTALA) requires that all hospitals; provide treatment to all patients who are in need emergency medical treatment irrespective of the fact that patients has or does not have health insurance
