Anna ( age 56 ) was admitted with pain and swelling in her left breast. She seems healthy and enthusiastic in nature at the time of admission. Vitals were stable with normal parameters recorded. ( Blood pressure 130/ 80 mm of Hg, temperature 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, pulse and respiration recorded as 74 beats/min and 20 breaths/ min respectively. On further examination, a lump was noted. In the meanwhile, a 3 D mammography test was performed which diagnosed Anna having IDC, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma stage 1. TNM staging done. She was counselled and explained about her disease condition. Treatment and possible outcome were explained to the patient and her relatives. Benefits and comparisons of local therapy which comprises surgery and chemotherapy, also another available option that is the systematic treatment which includes, hormonal therapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy. As the best choice of treatment systematic therapy was adviced and recommended.

"I noticed swelling on my left breast along with the pain in the nipple. I didn't care it much at that. Later I noticed discharges oozing out from the nipples. I visited the nearby health center. During the physical examination, a lump was noticed and did a screening x-ray for my breast. It was the first stage of breast cancer and the doctor recommended me with a set of chemotherapy, hormonal therapy and medications which will cure the cancerous cells of my whole body and its chance of occurrence in future".

The patient ( Mrs ANNA age 56) was diagnosed with stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma. Patient came in with the complaints of pain and swelling in the left breast. A diagnosis was made after screening and Physical examination. STAGING was done after completing her test. With the help of TNM staging system, Annas prognosis and chances of recovery were predicted. In TNM staging, the size of the tumour, if cancer affected any lymph nodes and how many, and to understand if cancer has spread to another part of the body is examined. As a plan of treatment systematic treatment was adviced as an add on precaution in order to eliminate any chance of reoccurrence of cancerous cells. Post surgery care, support groups, follow-ups the side effects and the bodily changes after the treatments were well explained.
