Health educator function:
International agency:
(WHO) the world health organization is the international health
organization. It is an intergovernmental agency related to the
united states this works with the united nations. It has a goal to
provide good health to all people. Through health education in the
past 10 years, it had a 50% increase in human resources development
loans for the next three years. That is for nutrition, health, and
population activity.
Health educators as a WHO secretariat they implement strategies by
increasing access to high-quality medical products making awareness
about the noncommunicable disease, adhering public health with
social, economic and environmental factors, promoting well being,
help following international health regulations and to assist
public to get universal health coverage.
Advantages include patient satisfaction, improving home care and
outpatient service, cost reduction.
Disadvantages are less hospital admission, increase employees
workload and cause dissatisfaction and less access to
intervention.
Non-traditional settings:
Health educator function in non-traditional settings like telephone
intervention for getting practice and changing health behavior and
making plan and intervention it help individual and family and
community for healthy lives and healthy choices. they also provide
education on disease prevention and management. they always focus
on preventive health care.
Advantages of this education through non- traditional settings
improve people behavior, quality of life, holistic approach and
improve mental, physical, social well being of patients.
The disadvantage there will be a lack of financial resources.
