Nervous tissue is the group of cells which involved in the nerve conduction, it is the main component of the nervous system. The functions involved with the nervous tissue is to pass the messages from the 5 sensory organs such as ear, nose, tongue, skin and eye to the brain and spinal cord and receive the appropriate response back to the muscles.

There are many disease condition which affects this usual path way it will produce disorder, it may be due to vascular problem as in the case of stroke, it may be due to autoimmune conditions like GBS and multiple sclerosis or sometimes damage to the cells due to accidents or falls as in the case of spinal cord injury. The most important facts about the nervous cells is that if any permanent damage was there it became irreversible and if there are minor damages the cells will reconstruct by its own. So, most of the neurological disorders are long standing it requires treatment such as physiotherapy and occupational therapy for the treatment.
