Answer #1

ASUCASE006:

Admission diagnosis - 654.53

First listed diagnosis - 654.53

First listed procedure - 59320

Secondary procedure - 80048, 85025 ,85610

ICD code 654.53 is reported because this is an antepartum condition for a patient's who is at 13weeks of gestation. She previously had a 23-week loss of twins secondary to cervical incompetence; but that is in her past history, so code 654.54 (postpartum complication) is not reported

ASUCase008:

Admission Diagnosis- 620.2

First-listed Diagnosis - 620.2

First-listed Procedure - 58662

Secondary Procedure - 80048, 85025,85610
