High carbohydrate diet are beneficial at high altitude .The advantage of high carbohydrate diet is that respiratory coefficient .it was observed that supply of multivitamins was not required for a period of 30 days .Antioxidant nutrients such as vitamin E,C and copper,zinc and manganese required in high amount.increased energy is required in high altitude.Fluid and electrolyte imbalance occur due to decreased availability of water ,so increased amount of water is required in high altitude areas.Reduced dietary intake and weight loss occur in high altitude
