from the body. check patient drainage site for hemorrhage and
measure patient intake and output, drainage amount and enter in the
patient chart and inform the physician if there is anything
abnormal notified in the drainage bag.
Wound infection in the surgery site due to bacterial infection.
Administer Antibiotics as per doctor orders.
Urinary retention when the patient inability to empty the bladder.
Urinary retention is mostly caused by anesthetic it can be treated
with a urinary catheter to drain the bladder.
Constipation and flatulence due to the anesthtic effect can be
treated with suppository insertion. Follow doctor instructions to
prevent complications.
