At present most of the healthcare organization are using advanced technologies to provide better services to the patients. The implementation of EHR system in the healthcare organization has become one of the important source to provide better quality of services to the patients. EHR is a system where all the information are being saved regarding patient's medical history and treatment.

Bents of EHR system:

  • EHR provides a platform to save all the data at one place.
  • All the information regarding patient's medical history and treatment can be easily accessible.
  • It reduces the workload on the healthcare professionals and staffs.
  • It is time saving as compared to paper documents.
  • There is much storage and many information can be saved.

Barriers in the EHR implementation:

  • Although it has benefits but it is expensive.
  • It requires training as not every staff members are friendly with new software.
  • Data encryption is required to protect the information abuse.
