Donna, 40 years old African American female was admitted to the hospital for Schizophrenia. She has history of aggressive behavior, usually precipitated by voices telling her that someone is out to harm her. Her history reveals that prior to hospitalization, Donna had skipped taking her medications for three weeks. You are the nurse assigned to Donna today and at the beginning of your shift, you observed her pacing in her room, avoiding contact with anybody, occasionally nods, and look towards the window and mumbles to herself.
She verbalized being depressed for a while.

Schizophrenia : it is one of the chronic mental disorder, it can breaks the relationship between the thoughts, feelings and ideas, emotions and behaviors, and it may leads to behavioral changes like dellusions, hallucinations and mental depression.

So here she is suffering from schizophrenia, because of her mood swings she can depressed and mumbles to herself,

There is no proper impulses from the brain, to get thoughts correctly, and to behave correctly.

So she verbalized being depressed.
