The growth of an organization depends on the type of employees in majority of cases.The nurses are recruited very frequently to balance the shortage and deliver an effective patient care.The multigenerational group of nurses are divided into 4 namely the verpterans contributing about 3% ,Baby boomers 32%,Generation Xers about 39% and the millennial about 26% of the nursing work force.

This can be addressed by the following way

  • Building a strong team work
  • Maintaining respect for difference of people in workplace
  • Inculcating a good communication to avoid conflicts, stress and thus improve patient care
  • The baby boomers can be given a wide variety of opportunities to impart their expertise,can be given a public recognition .The GenXers can be allowed to work independently ,thus can enable them to handle and solve problems efficiently. The millennial can be encouraged to use the tech to improve the patient care and outcome.These things can take a multigeneration gap to a success path.

The TIGER (Technology Informatics Guiding Education Reform) has played a vital part in the development and improvement in the identification and solving the multi generational gap of nurses.Some of them are as following

  • The healthcare professionals (nurses) are trained and monitored to use the technology in the patient care (e.g.,EHR)
  • Designing the curriculum and the academics of the nurses and the healthcare education to impart the use if technologies
  • It focuses on staff development, nurse leadership development ad virtual demonstration center.
