Answer #1

ANSWER.

* Conduction system of heart helps for the generation and conduction of

   electrical impulses which results in rhythmic contraction of the heart.

* Parts of cardiac conduction system are

           * SA node (Sinoatrial node).

                 SA node is located in the anterioposterior wall of right atrium.

                 SA node is known as the pacemaker of heart and from which

                 the electrical impulses originated.

           * Internodal pathways.

                This pathway is act as a connection between SA node and AV node

                 for transfer or conduction of electrical impulses.

            * AV node (Atrioventricular node).

                Av node is situated behind the tricuspid valve and impulse from the SA

                conducted through the internodal pathways enter into the AV node.

           * Bundle of his.

                It is a continuation part of AV node and it divided to form left and right bundle

                branches in the ventricles of heart and conduct impulses from the AV node to

                the ventricular areas of the heart.

         * Purkinje fibers.

             It is the last part of the conduction system which contain numerous tight junctions

             and it helps to conduct impulses from endocardium to epicardium for rhythmic

             contraction.
