Any inventory that is not moving is an obsolete stock.many times having full stock helps in the smooth functioning but at regular intervals inventory of individual supplies should be done and identify the non moving product.we should compare with the last few months indent and check for the demand versus supplies once we have identified that it's three times excess then there is. A huge economical burden caused due to this .we can devide the whole inventory as the most essential items and widely used ,moderatley used, and less frequently used.once we have decided we can reduce the less frequently group of supplies .we can convince the physicians the profit created by doing this inventory can be used for extension of their clinic,salary,other allowances .
The less frequently used items can be used as per the expiry date and it can be shared or transfered to the other physician clinic so that the items are used at a faster rate and thus it will help in reducing the excess inventory
