Answer #1

Lysozyme can kill bacteria by breaking down the peptidoglycan of the cell wall in bacteria cell. The bacteria cell death occurs only in low osmotic strength media or when the polymerization synthase rate to form new peptidoglycan for cell wall repair of bacteria is lower than the catalyzing activity of lysozyme.
