answer 7: The activation of MAP kinases and protein kinase C mediated signal transduction induces the exit from G0 and entry into G1 phase of cell cycle. T lymphocytes have been used as cell models for studying cell cycle progression. it has been reported that a committment point in blood T cells exist 3 to 5 h after CD3/CD28 stimulation which is involved in the regulation of transistion from G0 to G1. this entry requires cdk 6/4- cyclin D, as inhibition of cdk 6/4- cyclin D by inhibitor protein P16INK4A which is coupled to TAT in first 3 to 5 h, stopped entry of T cells into cell cycle. Transduction of cells with TAT- P16INK4A >5 h stimulate progression of cell cycle into G1.

Answer 8: if cells remain in G0 phase they will never be able to divide and therefore the cells will not grow and proliferate.
