AB blood is one type of blood Classification. It is considered as a Universal recipient because the person with AB Positive blood type can receive blood from any other blood group. AB blood group has both the antigens A and B. Based on the presence and absence of antibodies it differentiates into AB positive and AB Negative. Rh is a type of protein present in the blood cells. If the blood does not have the protein, it is considered as Rh-negative. Rh-negative is a rare blood group present only in a smaller population. Rh-negative does not cause any problem unless in the case of pregnancy when the mother is negative for Rh and the fetus has Rh-positive.
