Many things in the health care setting cause frustration for our patients. This is often due to the inconvenience, the pain, or even fear of the unknown. How do you work with patients that come across as difficult mainly because of their fear?

Answer: For the delivery of the better healthcare services to the patients, it is necessary to provide them safe environment which should be also consisy of cultural competence. This will enables the patients to feel more secure and comfortable and hence can discuss their problem with the healthcare professionals. So, it is necessary to provide guidance and teaching regarding the treatment to the patient and also the healthcare professionals required to understand the level and mental status of the patient and the level of pain patient can bear. So, pain killers must be prepared for the patients who can't tolerate the pain or have fear. These kinds of patients requires counseling as well as teaching plan so that they can understand the value of the treatment and it's importance.
