what does this numbers indicate in whats going on with lori from her blood gas? Pa02 75mmhg indicate PaCO2 50mmhg RV 2250 ml FVC 2680 ml FEV1 2420 ml
According to the blood gas reports of Lori it shows
PaO2: 75mmhg,PaCO2:50mmhg,RV 2250ml,FVC 2680ml,FEV1 2420 ml
Normal Po2 is 80-100 mmHg but the report shows a lower PO2 which shows the patient is hypoxic or oxygen deprived along with a higher pco2 whose normal is 35-48 and the value is 50mmhg shows that the blood is acidic and the pH would be in a lower side so considering both these factors it shows the patient is hypoventilated because the co2 is not flushed out adequately.Hypoventilation is also backed by the residual lung volume which is the volume of air which remains in the lung after each exhalation for gas exchange the normal is between 1.2-1.5ml whereas here the residual lung volume is 2.2 l which is higher .this shows that the patient has an obstructive pulmonary function and in most cases the diagnosis of Lori is probably chronic obstructive pulmonary Disease COPD

Group 3: Topic 6 – 17-year-old girl case study A 17-year-old student has experienced reversible, periodic attacks of chest tightness with coughing, wheezing, and hyperpnea. She states that expiration is more difficult than inspiration. She is most comfortable sitting forward with arms leaning on some support. X-rays revealed mild overinflation of the chest. Results from laboratory and pulmonary function tests are as follows: Frequency 20 breaths/min Forced Vital capacity (FVC) 2.9 L FEV1.0 1.4 L FEV1.0/FVC Functional residual capacity (FRC)...

The following blood gas results were obtained from a child admitted to the ER 1 hour following 1 hour post-ingestion of an unlabeled unknown substance. ABG RESULTS pH: 8.1 (7.35 - 7.45) HCO3: 27 (22 - 26 mmol/L) pCO2: 30 (35 - 45) What likely condition does the ABG indicate? Which of the above parameters indicates the condition and why? What common household drug can produce this effect? How would the body compensate for this condition?
9. What does the evidence from hyperinflations indicate with respect to the quantity theory of money? (1 mark) a.
