A patieht who is sick is in need of a medical help to recover from illness and lead a normal quality life.According to Erickson's Psychosocial developmental theory it is classified in eight.

The kind of behaviour which can be expressed by a patient are

  • A trust vs mistrust on the healthcare professionals raising a question will they be help to recover from illness,how skilled,experienced and talented they are in the field in treating the medical conditions .This hope has to be instilled by a healthcare professional to their patients. This can improve the confidence level of the patient and self encourage to participate in the treatment process
  • This gets rid of fear if the patient exhibits
  • It can analyse the psychosocial behaviour by existing a therapeutic relationship with the health care staff
