Answer: The electronic health records system in combination with the patient portal enhances the quality of healthcare delivery as it provides platforms for the healthcare professionals to have a record of the medical history, treatment, diagnosis of the patients. The EHR enables the healthcare professionals to collect or obtain all the information from a particular place and hence it saves time. The healthcare professionals can directly concentrate on the patient's treatment without spending time on collecting information.

This also provides patients to have direct access to their physician as they need not to repeatedly inform the physician regarding the health history. This saves time as well as it provides safety for the patients as by keeping the patient's information safe or prevent it from any kind of misuse by data encryption. Patient can easily access their information and can have copy of their treatment for the reimbursement purpose.
