Cellular growth is a general process in which the cells accumulate increases in the mass as well as increase in the overall physical size. This is also accomplished by the irreversible change in the cell size due to the cell division or reproduction. This cell growth precedes the biological cell development. It is also facilitated by the enhancement of the cytoplasm as well as organelle volume during the G1 phase of the cell cycle. Also during the G2 phase there is augmentation of the genetic material. This is also supported by the differentiation process, for the overall cellular development.
