1. The correlation between the salary of the nurse and the number of days missed at work in a sample of 100 nurses was found to be r = - 0.68, p = 0.001. Interpret what this correlation indicates (r value) and the p value? What does this correlation mean in terms of salary and missed work days?

2. What type of test would you use if the data fail to meet the assumptions of a parametric test?

Answer #1

1. Correlation between the salary of the nurse and missed work.

r = -0.68

p = 0.001

if the nurses' salary increases, then the number of missed days at work decreases.

This shows that there is a negative correlation between the salary and missed workdays.

Because if r = 0 there is no correlation.

P = 0.001, then the data will not fall within the regression line.

2. R square test can be used to analyze the data and the coefficient of determination. It helps to fit the closer data within the regression line.
