Monkeypox is a zoonotic disease that outbreaks sporadically. They transmit from animals to humans through respiratory droplets, contaminated body fluids, and skin lesion.  It also transmits from an infected human to others through direct contact with contaminated body fluids. No vaccines are found still for monkeypox, so specific strategy measures have to be taken to manage the critical situation.

• At the state level, Measures should be taken to raise awareness on the public on monkeypox.
• Measures are taken to identify the cases early and to isolate them.
• Laboratory and the medical emergency team should be altered and needed equipment should be kept ready.
• Daily identified cases, treated cases should be calculated and review of the plan should be made.
• Steps to be taken to protect the health care workers involved in treating infected persons by offering personal protective equipment.
• At regional levels, efforts taken to avoid eating of animal products and to contact with the dead animals.
• Involvement of private health agencies and volunteers in disease outbreak control measures.
• Avoid human-human transmission through effective control measures by implementing effective treatment on infected persons and following infection control measures.
• Distribution of needed resources widely to all areas to achieve the goal.
• At the local rural areas, people with the occupation of farming and hunting should be screened and preventive measures to be taken.
• Biological waste should be decomposed properly.
• The newly identified disease has to be reported to the health officer.
