#. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium Tuberculosis. Spread by droplet infection .

#. Nursing diagnosis :-

1. Promoting airway clearance by :-

- encouraging patient increased fluid intake

- advice patient to change position every two hourly

- instruct about best position to facilitate drainage

- teach patient deep breathing exercise , coughing exercise etc.

Nursing diagnosis :-

Advocating adherence to treatment regimen by :-

- explain that TB is a communicable disease and that taking medications is the most effective way of preventing transmission

- instruct about medications, schedule ,and side effects , monitor for side effects .

- instruct about the risk of drug resistance if the medication regimen is not strictly and continuously followed

- monitor vital signs and observe for spikes in temperature or changes in the patient's clinical status

- teach caregiver of patients who are not hospitalised to monitor the patient's temperature and respiratory status

- report any changes in the respiratory status to the physician

#. Positive outcome :-

- There is adequate airway clearance

- Patient maintains adherence to treatment

#. No negative outcome

#. Evaluation - On evaluation after implementation of care the patient have open airways without secretions and is maintaining compliance to medications .
