Answer: Diabetes mellitus is a condition in which the blood sugar level increases. Due to abnormalities of pancreas to produce sufficient amount of insulin causes this condition. The three complications of diabetes are:

  • Hypertension
  • Renal impairment
  • Cardiovascular disease.

It is important to maintain the blood glucose level. These conditions can be prevented by adopting healthy lifestyle, exercise, eating proper and nutritious food.

Nutrition affects our mental well being as nutrients provides sufficient amount of energy to the body that is required to maintain health condition. The nutrition keeps our body healthy, reduces the risk of disease occurrence. Hence healthy body maintains healthy mind.
