2) High cost of New medical technology: many believe this is the most important factor driving up cost. high cost treatments are often seen as the best treatments. The practice of defensive medicine. Physician self-referral: for a financial interest in that they refer them to places where they have investments.

3) Medical Entrepreneurialism: effort to invest in health as a means to profit. Marketing techniques may encourage unnecessary use of health services.

4) So many bills means possibility of errors.

5) Medical fraud occurs on a regular basis.
