• It helps people to speaking and get involve when decision are being made about their life.
• Sometimes people need some help to make choice and say, what they want.For that advocate are there to be your side and to help you,and express your view preference.
• Advocacy based on the belief that you are the best person to make decision about your life.

TYPES OF ADVOCACY;

• Self advocacy,
• Individual advocacy,
• System advocacy,
• Citizen and parent advocacy.

SELF ADVOCACY:

• self advocacy is an important skills for all individuals.
• It means that you solve your own problem,speaking up for yourself and making sure that your needs are met.

Example:college student for reaching goals.

• Start early and building this skill over time will make it easier when you get there.
• Students show that college student with learning difficulties have more success if they self advocate.

• It is a form of advocacy,where an advocate is assigned to assist somebody who has particular issues,difficulty that they are faced with that,they have unable to resolve themselves.
• It mainly support the people who are unable to raise the voice.

Example:Handicap man fight for rights,

• Handicap man fighting for its rights to get job or seat which is allocated for him,for which it has not given to him
• With the help of advocate to raise the voice of disability person .

SYSTEM ADVOCACY:

• It simply a way of referring to the type of collection advocacy throat their to change service system.
• Systemic advocacy are of two types,certain people support certain things which is not benefit for the people residing.
