Is male circumcision the same as female genital mutilation, how are they comparable and how are they distinct? Female genital mutilation involves the procedures that cause injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons. It invblves excision of part or all of the external genitalia that includes clitoris, labia minora etc. These procedure is different from male circumcision.
